A NEW Onyx Pearl metallic finish on the centre instrument panel on the Forte, SR, Futura, S and XR sets the tone for an interior which has banished the cheap looking plastics of the AU. A Distance-to-empty indicator has been incorporated into the digital odometer display, a door unlock/lock button is now found on the instrument panel and variable intermittent wipers are now standard across the range. Cruise control was originally an option on SR, but became standard from September. Large ventilation outlets aim to increase the flow of air into the cabin. Ignition illumination helps avoid any fumbling with keys in the dark.
