Nissan’s first major update to its Qashqai small SUV came in late 2017 that saw tweaks to exterior styling, increased levels of equipment and a slight price rise.

From the outside, the facelifted Nissan can be easily spotted by its V-Motion front grille, restyled bumper designs and new-look wheels.

Nissan also equipped its Qashqai with a more premium-feeling interior that included a D-shaped steering wheel, better bolstered seats and the inclusion of vital safety systems such as autonomous emergency braking.

Three variants were on off at launch, the ST, ST-L and N-Tec, but the latter was replaced by the Ti about six months after the Qashqai range’s launch.

All versions are motived by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder that produced 106kW of power and 200Nm of torque.

ST versions could be had with either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission, but all higher grades were paired exclusively with the automatic.

Power was sent to the front wheels and enabled a fuel economy figure of 7.7 litres per 100km in the three-pedal versions, and 6.9L/100km for the self-shifting Qashqai.
