HYUNDAI is not giving up on its latest hype-building campaign, with more teaser images of the imminent Ioniq sedan released ahead of the new model's official unveiling in Korea later this month.
No extra details or new significant styling cues are revealed in addition to the pair of images that were released in the middle of last month, but the fresh renderings do offer a new angle of the exterior and interior.
For the new images, Hyundai has included some blue flash highlights of the front end features and aerodynamic wheels in one picture and the other, more full-frontal image reveals more of the Ioniq's nose, such as the Hyundai family hexagonal grille.
The single interior shot does not give away any new secrets of the flowing dashboard layout, but does offer an initial glance at the Ioniq's seats and gear selector mechanism, which will control one of three hybrid or pure electric drivetrains.
The South Korean car-maker says its new model will be the first to offer three powertrains that all use electrification in some form.
Only the more conventional hybrid version is confirmed for the Australian market at this stage, but the company is evaluating whether the plug-in version could also resonate well with a local audience.
The first Ioniqs will arrive Down Under in the second half of this year, following its European debut at the Geneva International Motor Show and the New York International Auto Show in March.
