JAGUAR’S fastest-ever sedan, the XFR-S, has blasted through its global dynamic debut at the Goodwood Estate using all of its 405kW to dash up the world-renowned hill.
The 1988 Le Mans 24hr winner Andy Wallace gunned the 5.0-litre supercharged prototype off the line, pleasing his audience with a respectable cloud of tyre smoke.
A zero to 100km/h time of 4.6 seconds and a limited top speed of 300km/h puts the figures in the realm of the top performing German sedans.
Changes over the ‘standard’ XFR include power and torque increases of 29kW and 55Nm respectively, 20-inch wheels, suspension modifications and aerodynamic carbon-fibre additions to the bodywork.
Interestingly Jaguar report that the increased power and torque figures have no effect on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions data.
The Jag will be available in Australia on a strictly built to order basis, likely priced above $200,000.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed commences on July 11.
