HONDA sales are up 65.4 per cent so far this year in Australia, and the company is hoping to keep the momentum going with driveaway deals and a five-year extended warranty plus roadside assistance.
The biggest discount is applied to the City light sedan, which is $17,990 driveaway in base VTi form, compared with $18,490 plus on-road costs.
Meanwhile the higher-spec VTi-L is $21,990 driveaway, down from $22,990 plus on-roads.
Honda is also punting out Jazz VTi light hatches at $19,990 driveaway, effectively limiting on-road costs to $200 over the normal $19,790 price of an automatic Jazz VTi.
Metallic paint (normally $475) is now included on the Civic sedan, which is priced from $21,990 driveaway, which means on-road costs are limited to around $1000 (the VTi sedan with metallic paint normally costs $20,965 plus on-roads).
The extended warranty and roadside assistance offer lasts until the end of June, but Honda Australia confirmed the driveaway deals are “ongoing”.

Honda Australia director Stephen Collins celebrated the first four months of this year as “a great start for Honda”.
“We have seen our CR-V at the top of the sales chart for petrol SUVs in March, the arrival of our first diesel and Earth Dreams Technology engine along with an upgrade to our award-winning CR-Z.
“These exciting additions along with the free five-year extended warranty offer means that there has never been a better time to visit your local Honda Dealer.”City sales are up 232.8 per cent year-to-date, while the Civic sedan and hatch are up 140.7 per cent and the Jazz is down 12.2 per cent.
