GARY Fitch from John Hughes Mitsubishi in Perth, Western Australia, has secured the Japanese brand’s Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award for the second year in a row.
In the third year that top metro, provincial and rural dealers have been recognised as part of Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited’s ‘Distinguished Dealer’ program, Trevor Kime from Tropical Mitsubishi in Rockhampton, Queensland, was named Provincial DOTY for 2012, while Chris Szigeti from Peter Kittle Mitsubishi in Port Lincoln, South Australia, was awarded Rural DOTY.
Open to all Mitsubishi dealerships across the brand’s 200-plus retail network, the Distinguished Dealer program assesses areas such as customer satisfaction, sales performance, and service and facility standards.
Other dealers honoured in the 2012 program were: New South Wales: Scott Wakeling (Paul Wakeling Mitsubishi), Troy Aitkin (Lander Mitsubishi), Allen Thomas (Thomas Bros Mitsubishi), Michael Taylor (Heritage Mitsubishi), Ian Parker (Griffith Mitsubishi) Queensland: Marc Caton (Eagers Mitsubishi), Tom Kennedy (Motorama Mitsubishi, Moorooka), Ross Gray (Ross Gray Mitsubishi) Victoria: Stephen Heron (Preston Motors Epping Mitsubishi), Conrad Taylor (Werribee Mitsubishi), John Johnson (Colin Watson Mitsubishi), Stephen Callaghan (Callaghan Mitsubishi) Western Australia/South Australia: Hillar Puvi (Agostino Mitsubishi) and Derek Mcilroy (Mcilroy Mitsubishi), who won the 2010 and 2011 Rural DOTY awards.
Presenting the awards, MMAL chief executive Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said: “The achievements we are honouring today recognise the sheer excellence of our entire dealer network. I commend them on their efforts and success for this prestigious award.
“We congratulate and recognise these 17 dealers who have shown consistent merit, commitment and passion towards the Mitsubishi Motors brand and our products.”
