EUROPEAN brands Volkswagen and Peugeot both announced an increased level of after-sales commitment to their customers this week.
In Volkswagen’s case it comes in the form of an unlimited-mileage (but still three-year) new-vehicle warranty for MY2011 versions of the Polo, Golf, Eos, Tiguan, Caravelle, Multivan and Transporter models.
However, the former three-year/100,000km warranty continues for buyers of the Jetta, Touareg, Passat, Beetle and Caddy, at least until the arrival of new models.
Over at Peugeot, the French brand will help celebrate 200 years of industrial manufacturing this year by offering owners of 205, 206, 306, 307, 406 and some 407 models aged between four and ten years old (outside the warranty period) a service and 30-point safety check for just $200 during the months of October, November and December.
Available at participating Peugeot AfterCare Service Centres around Australia, the ‘Peugeot Check’ inspection includes an electronic diagnostic check and an engine oil and filter change, regardless of engine variant, that is guaranteed for 12 months.
