QUEENSLAND’S Motorline BMW has been named BMW Metropolitan Dealer of the Year for the second time in three years.
In business for just 12 years beside the Pacific Highway at Daisy Hill, in Brisbane’s southern suburbs, Motorline collected the 2009 BMW Trophy after being judged the best in the BMW business in customer service, professionalism and all-round performance.
The Rural Dealer of the Year award went to Shepparton’s family-run Jeff Tracy BMW – the fifth time it has topped the ratings in its 14 years of BMW operations.
Dealer principals Craig Rose (Motorline) and Jeff Tracy received their trophies from BMW Group Australia managing director Stavros Yallouridis at the annual awards dinner in Melbourne last week.
“The BMW Trophy recognises the very best performers amongst the BMW dealer network, who consistently achieve the highest possible standards,” Mr Yallouridis said.
“Satisfying customers when it comes to their premium motoring needs is the cornerstone of the BMW Trophy philosophy.”

Mr Rose, whose dealership features its own panel shop and fully licensed bistro called Café Isetta – named after BMW’s diminutive three-wheeled, single-cylinder micro car of the 1950s – said Motorline was thrilled to win the award for the second time in three years, which he said was validation of the dealership’s efforts.
He said he was “incredibly proud to be a part of an outstanding, passionate and driven team”.
“Since opening the doors 12 years ago, Motorline BMW has always strived to provide a special buying experience,” he said.
“Whether it is through exciting and unique events we conduct or, the way we look after our customers in every department, this award is validation that we are delivering on our promise.”Mr Tracy said his dealership held the BMW award in the highest regard.
“It’s always top of mind to provide the very best service possible and represent BMW in a professional manner," he said.
“I believe it’s a privilege to work with such a brand and we’re excited by what lies ahead with innovative new products on the way.”As well as announcing its own national dealer awards, BMW Group Australia has recognised its top Mini dealers with its annual Mini Excellence Awards.
Mini Excellence awards for metropolitan dealers were presented to Brisbane Mini Garage in Queensland – for the third year running – and Trivett Classic Mini Garage in Parramatta, Sydney.
The Mini Excellence award for best rural dealer was won by Worthington Mini Garage in Gosford, NSW.
“It took a special kind of dealer to shine in 2009 and these award-winning Mini dealers certainly shone, not only in terms of our high local standards but also when benchmarked against their counterparts from around the globe,” said national manager Mini Justin Hocevar.
“Their strong and consistent focus towards Mini provides us with valuable partnerships and customers with excellence in customer service”.
