Lamborghini opens Brisbane dealership

LAMBORGHINI has forged a partnership with the Willims Motor Group (WMG) in Queensland, announcing a new dealership in Brisbane that extends its retail network beyond Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The fourth Australian dealership for the House of the Raging Bull will be overseen by owner and dealer principal Greg Willims and extends WMG’s Fortitude Valley-based stable to seven brands, joining Maserati, Bentley, Audi, Lotus, Alfa Romeo and Fiat.

As previously reported, WMG – which has been operating in Brisbane for the past 14 years – was also previously responsible for Ferrari in Brisbane, before Ferrari Australasia shifted its representation to the Sime Darby Motors-controlled LMM Holdings late last year.

The new Lamborghini premises will be located at 825 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley, and will include a 300-square-metre showroom. Trading gets underway this month but the dealership will not officially open until September.

Left: WMG owner Greg Willims Automobili Lamborghini Oceania country manager Eginardo Bertoli said: “This new venture is the proof to Lamborghini’s strong commitment to further growth in Australia.

“We believe that Willims Motor Group understands and embodies the essence of the Lamborghini brand, and with that we’re excited to welcome them into the family.”The dealership will retail all of Lamborghini’s current models and house the new LP750-4 Aventador Superveloce due to arrive later this year.

It also opens at a time when the Italian supercar brand is enjoying record sales, with 69 vehicles – mostly examples of the new Huracan – sold across its network to the end of July.

At the same point last year, Lamborghini had shifted only seven vehicles, marking a phenomenal 885 per cent increase this year.

Further sales growth is expected as Lamborghini increases its global production and introduces all-new models, including an SUV due in 2018.
