SUBARU’S WRX is mean again, with a pumped-out body to match its muscular engine and athletic road-holding, which has been further improved. At $39,990 with all-wheel drive, 195kW and 343Nm, it represents lots of bang for few bucks. The STI is great value at $59,990 because it so incredibly quick. The 221kW and 407Nm output remains the same, but it is now more fun thanks to sharper handling and increased control due to revised suspension. The appeal of this ballistic machine has been widened with the long-awaited addition of a sedan and the introduction of an automatic transmission.
