THE XJ6 name is one of the most hallowed in Jaguar history, stretching back to 1968 and the launch of a new generation of luxury vehicles from the UK-based manufacturer. In its latest iteration this 3.0-litre V6 XJ6 joins a range of V8s that went on-sale in Australia last July, and shares its excellent specification level with the normally aspirated 3.5 and 4.2-litre V8s. The pricing is particularly competitive at just under $150,000 and Jaguar claims performance is better than the 3.2-litre V8 from the previous generation thanks to this car's bonded and rivetted aluminium construction.
