A NEW LandCruiser Prado has arrived with the promise of better efficiency, improved safety, a bigger and more versatile interior, better off-road features and, for the first time in Australia, a three-door model. The option of radar cruise control on high-end models and new off-road modes has made Prado a sophisticate among its peers like never before. The important new Prado will keep the Toyota faithful happy with its multitude of advancements, but the cross-shoppers will have to also consider the fact that Prado is now up to 200kg heavier, loses seating capacity and comes with a six to nine per cent price rise and, despite some improvements, a rapidly ageing diesel engine.
