FORD specialist tuning company Tickford has released another round of products for the Blue Oval’s popular Mustang sportscar, consisting of a suspension upgrade and leather interior package.
Following customer demand, Tickford dropped the ride height in the Mustang by 25mm, giving it a more aggressive look and greater handling dynamics thanks to a lower centre of gravity.
Up front the reborn tuner has upgraded the suspension with monotube strut coil-overs, while the rear receives monotube dampers and springs.
The suspension package costs $3990 including fitment and is backed with a 12-month warranty from Tickford.
Tickford CEO Tim Edwards said the suspension tune was honed specifically for Australian roads.
“We have invested considerable time and resources into perfecting a ride and handling package that is specifically tuned for Australian roads,” he said.
“Customers kept telling us they wanted to achieve a lowered stance but didn’t want to compromise on ride quality and handling, a tough ask that our development team relished.
“The result of their hard work is a suspension tune that retains manufacturer levels of ride quality while improving the driving dynamics in real world situations from the twisty roads of the Australian alpine region to bumpy suburban city streets, making it a great all round package.”Tickford is also offering a retro-inspired leather interior package, priced at $4490 including fitment.
The company claims the padding in the seats has been improved for greater comfort, while the new leather trim features pleated stitching and Tickford embossing.
Suede and leather Tickford designs have also been added to the centre console.
Independent testing has been completed for airbag compliance, and the package is available for both coupe and convertible body styles.
Both the suspension pack and interior upgrades are available across all Mustang spec levels including EcoBoost and GT variants.
The tuner has also previously release a power boost and exhaust package for the Mustang, as well as a tuning pack for the Ranger one-tonne ute.
