IT is great time to be in the market for a new large six-cylinder sedan. Even though the segment is being punished as buyers opt for more fuel-efficient cars the choice and value of the newer offerings is excellent. Just take a look at the VE Commodore and then cast your eye over the Mitsubishi 380. Both offer roomy, comfy family motoring. Toyota will join the fray within weeks too with the Aurion V6, completing a total revamp by car-makers of big-six motoring over the past 12 months. But arch-rival Ford is not about to let Holden – nor Mitsubishi and Toyota for that matter - grab all the limelight. To help hold off its rivals, Ford has just released its BF MkII Falcon. Does it cut the mustard?
