FORD has released another teaser of its upcoming Falcon, this time showing the form of its XR8 sedan that will shout the last hurrah for the locally developed supercharged V8 engine.
The video, released on social media this afternoon, gives an overall appreciation for the form that the final Falcon, which includes the iconic V8 bonnet bulge and a closer look at the headlights, will take ahead of the car-maker’s withdrawal form manufacturing in late 2016.
The short film has revealed that the XR8's headlights will differ slightly to the units teased on social media last week, with a crescent of LEDs under each of the twin globes rather than a continuous strip.
The outermost of the two lamps also has a subtle XR motif embossed on the globe cowl.
Whether the five double-spoke wheel design is the final XR8 hoop remains to be seen, but a coat of detail-obscuring black paint would suggest so.
