TJM ready with Triton accessories

MITSUBISHI says Australia is its second-largest market for Triton – and its most profitable – and that every Triton sold is fitted with “at least one accessory”; all of which should be music to the ears of Brisbane-based TJM whose comprehensive range of Triton 4x4 accessories featured heavily at the model’s unveiling in Bangkok, Thailand.

TJM said Mitsubishi’s decision to collaborate on an extensive and “adaptable” range of recovery, protection and recreation accessories shows that the Triton is “an ideal choice for those looking to live an off-road lifestyle and get more from their vehicle”.

TJM engineers in Australia and Thailand have developed some 46 different products for the all-new Mitsubishi Triton in time for the model’s global debut. The products include vehicle protection, suspension upgrades, recovery gear, snorkel, camping gear, and lighting, which will soon be available in over 100 Mitsubishi markets.

Aeroklas, the owner of the TJM brand, currently distributes 4x4 accessories into 116 countries, and says it is “well placed” to match the needs of clients in ASEAN and Oceania regions as the model is launched.

“We are excited to see this work finally come to life with Mitsubishi Motors Thailand,” said TJM Thailand deputy managing director, Trun Yiamyongchai.

“The agile relationship we have with Mitsubishi has enabled us to produce accessories that will allow Triton customers to create bespoke vehicles that align with their exact needs and lifestyle.

“The team at Mitsubishi have been fantastic to work with and we thank them for making this so successful from the outset, and look forward to everything the future holds.”

The TJM/Mitsubishi relationship closely mirrors the already established collaboration between ARB and Ford and is likely to present similar benefits for Australian customers.

As is the case with Ranger and Everest, the accessories developed by TJM for Triton are engineered to allow the unhindered operation of ADAS and supplementary safety systems while providing the strength and dependability so critical to Australian buyers.

“This collaboration is a great opportunity for our business to go beyond the all-new Triton’s market segments and take that one step further. We can provide customers the freedom to enhance a vehicle to their individual requirements,” said Aeroklas Asia Pacific Group CEO, Greg Kelly.

“Here in Australia, the birthplace of TJM, we’re really excited by the prospect of this announcement and what this will mean for our customers. The Triton has consistently been a top-ranking vehicle in Australia and through this collaboration we can assist Triton customers do a lot more with their vehicles.

“The team at AAPG is looking forward to working with dealers right across Australia to ensure the success of the all-new Triton,” he concluded.
