Audi RS Q3 up for grabs in fundraiser

BY PETER BARNWELL | 20th May 2024

PHILANTHROPIC motives are behind Audi Australia offering up a desirable limited-edition RS Q3 Sportback model as its first Audi Foundation fundraiser raffle prize for 2024.

The Audi Foundation has links with eight charity partners: RU OK?, ReachOut, batyr Australia, Humpty Dumpty Foundation, Country Education Foundation of Australia, Zephyr Education Inc., Youth Opportunities and The Children’s Cancer Institute.

The raffle is now underway via the Audi Foundation and is limited to 12,000 tickets at $50 apiece for a chance at driving home the high performance Audi RS Q3 Sportback Edition 10 years that is valued at $124,853 on the road.

Participants must be Australian residents 18 years and over, with all eligible entrants going into the running to win the Chronos metallic grey prize car.

It is the 12th such fundraiser since the Audi Foundation started seven years ago and is according to Audi Australia “an eagerly anticipated event providing vital funds to enable the Audi Foundation and its eight not-for-profit partners to continue their life-changing work”.

Since its inception in 2017, the Audi Foundation has evolved forming long-term partnerships with charity organisations with a proven track record in their respective areas, as opposed to one-off donations.

Audi Australia says the “targeted” approach and longer-term vision continues to positively impact countless individuals and families right around the country.

As an adjunct to charity fundraising the Audi Foundation’s ‘Supporting Sustainable Communities’ program provides additional support to communities in times of crisis such as the bushfires in 2020 and the devastating floods in 2022.

“The work undertaken by the Audi Foundation and its partners is life-changing for the many it touches,” said Audi Australia director and Audi Foundation chairman Jeff Mannering,

“We’re indebted to the thousands of people who continually support the work of the Audi Foundation and its charity partners through initiatives like our fundraising raffles.

“Since the Audi Foundation was established, it has generated more than $6.5 million and the work undertaken with those funds by the (Audi) Foundation and its partners have been life-changing for so many.”

The prize car is one of 555 units produced worldwide and by any measure is a formidable vehicle from Audi Sport that is built to commemorate a decade since the first Q model joined the coveted RS ranks.

Power comes from a mellifluous five-cylinder, 2.5-litre TFSI petrol engine that is good for 294kW of power between 5850-7000rpm with maximum torque of 480Nm available from 1950rpm right through to 5850rpm.

Quattro AWD goes through a seven-speed S tronic transmission assisting the model to clock a 0-100km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds.

The limited edition 10 years model has a powerful visual presence to match its performance highlighted by a black exterior styling package that includes window trims, badging and door mirror caps all finished in black.

Matrix LED headlights complete the package and feature smoked highlights in keeping with the dark theme. Augmenting the no nonsense looks are custom designed 21-inch Audi Sport wheels with large multi-piston brake callipers finished in high-gloss black.

Inside is replete with exclusive features ranging from the multi-function wheel in Alcantara to matt carbon inlay and black Dinamica elements.

It has specially developed lightweight RS front bucket seats that feature one-piece backs with the back of the front seats finished in matt carbon for maximum weight saving while their combination of Dinamica and fine Nappa leather with honeycomb pattern features subtle copper-coloured stitching.

Completing the limited-edition package is state-of-the-art technology and infotainment: Audi virtual cockpit and MMI navigation plus, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 680-watt Sonos 3D sound system.

The vehicle also features a full suite of safety and driver assistance systems.

The raffle concludes on July 10.
