FORD Australia has announced specification and pricing changes to its seventh-generation Mustang this week, confirming the Dark Horse special edition will leave the Mustang stable in 2025, with all 1000 Australian-bound units finding homes.
The importer says GT Fastback and Convertible variants, as well as EcoBoost Fastback grades, are in strong supply, with the updated Mustang range to introduce a new exterior styling pack and a new paint option when production commences later this year.
Key to the newly announced spec change is the introduction of the optional Bronze Appearance Pack, which replaces the Black Appearance Pack with ‘Sinister Bronze’ detailing on the grille, badging, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Bronze Appearance Pack is available from $1500 on EcoBoost and GT Fastback models and $1950 on the GT Convertible.
Also available is a new prestige paint hue dubbed Molten Magenta, which joins Carbonised Grey, Grabber Blue, Iconic Silver, Oxford White (NCO), Race Red (NCO), Shadow Black, and Vapour Blue in the Aussie palette.
Atlas Blue, Dark Matter Grey, Rapid Red, and Yellow Splash paint options are cut from the build sheet.
Prestige Paint is charged at $700 on EcoBoost and GT Fastback models and $910 on the GT Convertible.
Further, 2025MY variant Mustangs will be offered an Appearance Pack priced at $1500 on EcoBoost and GT Fastback models and $1950 on the GT Convertible.
MagneRide adaptive suspension and red-painted Brembo brake callipers are available from $2950 and $3835 respectively across the pair of body styles, while Recaro Sport Seats are offered likewise offered as a $2950 or $3835 option across coupe and convertible body styles.
Pricing for the Mustang model range begins at some $14,400 more than the sixth-generation car (see full pricing detail below) and has increased by up to $2000 on the initial pricing announcement made in October last year.
Ford Australia has not provided any explanation for the increase in list price ahead of the models’ local arrival. First customer deliveries are expected early in the new year.
