A HOST of electronic handling devices are used with the 147. These include Automatic Slip Regulator (ASR), a traction control system that with access to both the throttle and the ABS brakes can detect a spinning wheel and either apply the brakes or close the throttle, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), a stability control system which similarly uses the brakes and engine power to keep things under control when it detects the car is about to reach the point of no return. Another is Motor Speed Regulator (MSR), which removes the possibility of a wheel locking during downshifts when the difference between engine and road speed is large enough to make the car skid.
