CLIMATE control air-conditioning is standard on all A3 models, with the controls placed in the centre console within easy reach of the driver. The temperature and ventilation system uses push buttons. There are separately adjustable fascia outlets, defroster outlets for the windscreen and side windows, rear footwell outlets at left and right and a positive stale-air extraction system. A dust and pollen filter also helps keep the air fit to breath. A rear window demister with a time switch is standard.
