AFTER three years on sale, Audi has refreshed its A3 small-car range with a new look, new engine choices and more standard equipment.

While some engine options have been deleted, namely the 2.0-litre diesel and 1.8-litre petrol, two more have been added to bolster the line-up in the form of the 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder and 2.0-litre four-pot.

New look headlights and tail-lights are also introduced and satellite navigation and autonomous emergency braking are included as standard, but has Audi done enough with the A3 to keep it ahead of BMW’s 1 Series and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class?
