AUDI’S new-model wheel of fortune keeps on turning, but for buyers of premium medium-sized sedans, the A5 Sportback alternative is a bit of a jackpot thanks to improved levels of refinement, space, performance, efficiency, safety and value.

Expected to be the best selling A5 variant in Australia, the new Sportback may look very similar to the last one introduced nearly 10 years ago, but the latest iteration is usefully better in virtually every way.

Sharing the same variant line-up as the already released A5 coupe and prices in the Sportback kicking off from $69,900 before on-roads, the only thing we wish Audi did was bit a bit bolder with the visuals…
