The four-wheel drive German sedan supports its good looks with high quality and outstanding interior ambience. Two V6 engines drive the A6 capably, if a little sluggishly in the case of the base 2.4-litre version.

The only reservations about the A6 concern suspension dynamics which have been improved since the too-harsh early version but still leave some question marks over the general ride/handling balance.
