NO matter how much work Audi engineers put into the 40-valve 4.2-litre V8's menacing exhaust note, the sound coming from the Bose stereo is difficult to match. The system features a six-stack CD changer located in a recess behind the boot trim, eight speakers (one large speaker in each door plus a high-mounted tweeter near the front doorhandles) and an electronic tune AM/FM radio. There are no steering wheel-mounted controls and the on/off volume knob is at the furthermost position from the driver, though the latter should be within easy reach of most drivers. Of course, the sat-nav monitor doubles as a control unit for the sound system.
