A BIG sleek coupe with four doors and four seats has been added to the Audi stable. The model is called the A7 Sportback and it’s actually based on the all-new A6 sedan, but features a sloping roofline and hatchback rear-end.

Cosseting all four occupants with shaped seats, four-zone climate-control and more headroom in the front and back than the existing A6, the A7 promises a luxurious experience.

It is available with two 3.0-litre V6 engines, a turbo-diesel with 180kW and 500Nm and a super strong supercharged petrol unit with 220kW and 440Nm.

Just like the new A6 that will soon follow it into Australian showrooms, the A7 has a raft of new technologies such as a head-up display that projects information on to the windscreen.
