THE V6 diesel Allroad differs from the V6 petrol version in only the obvious mechanical areas, sharing with it the flared wheel arches, 17-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels and the metallic (imitation and genuine) styling aspects such as window frames, roof rails, door capping strips, twin exhaust pipe extensions and stainless steel undertray panels on the front and rear bumper. Audi uses a quantity of grey plastic to beef up the wagon around the sills and bumpers, and although the same surfaces may have looked good painted, the Allroad gains its desired rugged appearance from what would once have looked like a vehicle that missed its turn in the spray booth. Allroad is 4810mm long, 1852mm wide and 1551mm tall, up on the A6 Avant in each measurement.
