ALTHOUGH Audi's TT sportscar first launched in 1998 as a coupe, the unique two-door was originally conceived and sketched as a wind-in-the-hair convertible.
At a time when many manufacturers were resurrecting models from years past, the German car-maker created a convertible and coupe pair that were all-new to the brand, but looked as retro as the most quirky of the comebacks.
Now in its third generation, Audi has been careful to only gently evolve the styling that first attracted so much attention 17 years ago, while updating the technology under its skin to keep up with modern-day competition.
The 2015 Roadster still has the same unmistakable TT presence that forged its reputation over nearly two decades, but is it still as unique?
