APART from some minor styling and equipment changes, the major change from 328Ci to 330Ci is the 3.0-litre straight six. Up from the 2.8's 142kW power peak, the new 170kW engine's power increase is attributed to the larger capacity (30 per cent), double VANOS refinements (12 per cent) and, most importantly, the streamlining and optimising for resonance effect of the inlet and exhaust manifold and all other components crucial to the flow of intake air (57 per cent).
