REFLECTING the intended purpose of the coupe, the suspension design is the same as the 3 Series sedan but the set-up is of a firmer, more sporting style. The front-end design includes BMW's usual strut-type suspension with forged aluminium control arms, twin-tube gas pressure shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar. The rear central arm axle suspension uses a longitudinal control arm and double track control arm combined with twin-tube gas pressure shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar.
