THE BMW 5 Series uses a power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system. The system is located at the front with a double-joint axle incorporating aluminium tie-rods it's a combination BMW claims offers optimum agility as well as light, comfortable and precise steering with good feedback. The turning circle is 11.3 metres.
