THERE’S no ignoring the price, but that’s the whole point: BMW is offering high-minded eco tech for people willing and able to afford it.

That the i3 also happens to feel and drive like any other of its internal combustion siblings makes this electric newcomer one of the more beguiling motoring experiences of recent times.

Not without its faults, we’re nevertheless looking at something very special indeed.
