BMW Group Australia presented a gaggle of all-new models in Sydney yesterday – all of which constitute Australian debuts despite the fact BMW’s new Z4 Coupe and 3 Series Coupe went on sale earlier this month.
Also unveiled by BMW Group design chief Chris Bangle were BMW's upgraded model year 2007 X3 range and the new M6 Convertible.
Both models are due on sale here in December, and, while the drop-top M6 is the epitome of rapid open-top motoring for a cool $295,000, the upgraded X3 petrol range offers significantly more performance and lower fuel consumption for prices that are up between $1000 and $1500.
The turbo-diesel X3 3.0d brings no new technology, but the same exterior cosmetic updates and all-new interior.
