PRESTIGE retailer the Trivett Group has been appointed as the sole authorised dealer for Bugatti Automobile in Australia, making it the official channel for the $2 million-plus Veyron supercar.
Still acclaimed as the world’s fastest and most powerful production car, the Veyron’s W16 quad-turbo engine produces 1001hp (736kW) and enables 0-100km/h acceleration in, wait for it, 2.5 seconds.
Making its Australian debut at the recent Melbourne International Motor Show, the Veyron’s global list price is 1.1 million Euro, which converts to $A2.75 million (with all taxes included).
Trivett Group general manager Bevin Clayton told GoAuto this week that the delivery time from order currently stands at around 18 months – “but there will be the occasional opportunity every few months to pick up a factory demonstrator”. “With only 80 cars a year being built, patience is a virtue,” Mr Clayton added.
Operating predominantly in Sydney, and employing more than 500 staff, the Trivett Group is also the exclusive dealer for Bentley in NSW and the ACT.
It has 13 prestige brands in its stable, including Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin.
The company sells more than 7000 vehicles per annum and has a turnover of half a billion dollars.
