HOW fickle are Australian convertible buyers? On paper, the new Chrysler Sebring Cabriolet has all the right stuff to give rivals such as the VW Eos and Holden Astra TwinTop a hard time, with plenty of space, V6 power, high equipment levels, a choice of two types of roof designs and a startlingly low price. And the Sebring doesn’t shake, rattle (too much) or roll, so the driving experience is okay too. But will those seeking a value-for-money drop-top mind the less-than-salubrious-looking interior, or are the Chrysler’s other strengths enough to sway them to the American way?
