FOLLOWING GoAuto's breaking news several weeks ago, Chrysler has confirmed the Sebring mid-size sedan will be launched Down Under next year.
Now due in June, the Sebring will be offered with three engines: a 124kW/220Nm 2.4-litre four, a 140kW/259Nm 2.7-litre V6 and a 103kW/310Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel.
Chrysler will position Sebring in Australia as a rival for upmarket mid-size sedans like Honda's Accord, Subaru's Liberty and the Mazda6, while DaimlerChrysler sister brand Dodge hopes to introduce a production version of the Sebring-based Avenger sedan to take on the likes of Toyota's Camry, Hyundai's Sonata and Kia's Megentis.
