POWER-assisted rack and pinion steering with a ratio of 17.8:1 is used on the Voyager. Turning circle for base short wheelbase SE Voyager is 11.5 metres, while it stretches out to 12 metres for the long wheelbase Grand Voyager models. The steering goes from lock to lock in 3.1 turns and the wheel is adjustable for tilt, but not for reach. The steering column was completely redesigned to better protect the driver in a frontal collision.
