Citroen Australia has announced the range-topping C3 XTR hatch will be available in limited numbers from February 1, priced at $26,990.
Pitching the XTR at families, Citroen says its standard Children’s Pack includes a second rear-view mirror that provides a full-width view of the rear seat, plus dash-mounted rear-door child locks, folding rear tables and a second 12-volt outlet.
Along with 279 litres of cargo space (extending to 1155 litres with the rear seats folded), the XTR’s standard equipment also includes concealed roof-rail crossbars, Citroen’s Panoramique glass electric sunroof and the folding, multi-function boot floor platform called Moduboard.
XTR is differentiated from the C3 range, which opens with the $19,990 1.4 SX, by new bumpers and enlarged wheelarches, side sills and front grille.
C3 XTR is powered by an 83kW/147Nm 1.6-litre engine mated to Citroen’s SensoDrive clutchless manual transmission.
Standard equipment includes alloy wheels, sports seats, climate control, four airbags, ABS with EBA and EBD, power windows and mirrors, remote central locking, front centre arm rests, six-speaker CD player, rain sensing wipers, trip computer and front and rear fog lights.
