TWO Australian public debuts graced Citroen's stand at the Sydney motor show yesterday alongside the official release of the new C6 luxury sedan, which is already on sale at $97,500 for the 155kW/290Nm 3.0-litre V6 and $103,500 for the 150kW/440Nm 2.7-litre twin turbo-diesel.
Family types will be more excited at the prospect of seeing Citroen's C4 Picasso people-mover Down Under for the first time – direct from its Paris motor show global debut last month and well ahead of its March 2007 release here.
To be priced from around $35,000, Citroen's latest Picasso range will comprise a 103kW/200Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel option, which is expected to account for up to 80 per cent of sales.
Finally, Citroen’s C4-based world rally racer also made an appearance in Sydney, direct from its world debut in Paris.
Featuring a 234kW 2.0-litre turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed semi-automatic gearbox, the C4 WRCar will replace Citroen’s Xsara rally car, which holds the record for the most consecutive WRC wins.
