CITROEN buyers with an eye on the range-topping C6 will need to spend almost $10,000 more as a result of a price rise from $108,750 to $118,500 this month, with no change to the car’s current specification.
The 2.7-litre V6 diesel-powered saloon is only built to customer order and was already a slow-seller for Citroen, with only 19 delivered last year – fewer than half the 2007 total.
The sleek C6 became the first Citroen priced over the $100k mark when it was launched here in late 2006, and importer Ateco Automotive advises that the latest increase was inevitable due to currency fluctuations.
