KEY-OPERATED central locking is standard on YRV and a central door lock button (including the tailgate) is provided on the driver's door. The engine immobiliser consists of a transponder built into the ignition key, an antenna coil and an immobiliser ECU. Fuel to the electronic fuel injection pump will be cut if either the transponder ID code or the immobiliser rolling code does not match. The Kenwood stereo system has a removable faceplate and is protected by a four-digit security PIN system. The glovebox cannot be locked.
