THE Explorer has increased slightly in overall length and slightly more again in wheelbase, while there is more interior width and height. The optional third row seats increase seating capacity to seven. The centre row has three separate seats providing individual comfort and allowing more flexibility in folding arrangements when carrying big loads. The new rear suspension allowed the rear floor to be lowered almost 18 centimetres, improving headroom and storage space. Larger door openings improve ease of entry. Third row passengers have a completely flat floor underfoot.
