FORD has closed another long-running plant in the US as part of its latest recovery plan.
The last F-150 pick-up rolled off the line at the Norfolk factory in Virginia last week, the last of 7,983,458 vehicles made at the facility since 1925. The plant employed 1250 workers.
Production of the F-150, which has been hit hard by soaring petrol prices, will continue at Ford facilities in Dearborn and Kansas City.
