COMFORT behind the wheel was said to be a key priority of the BA Falcon development team, so the front and rear seats from the AU have been completely redesigned.

The driver's seat base in all Falcon variants now has four-way electric adjustment to bring it in line with Commodore, which has a power driver's seat since the VT was introduced in 1997.

Other changes include lower seat positioning, which delivers a more cosseted driving position than Commodore in the front and more headroom in the back courtesy of the reshaped bench, as well as increased front seat travel and height adjustment range, plus revised lumbar adjustment, bigger headrests and more substantial bolstering.

The XR trim pattern, which is based on a tyre tread, is called Plexis and features twin-needle detail stitching and an embroidered XR logo on the upper face of the front and rear seat backs.

XR buyers have a choice of six interior cloth trim colour combinations, with four of them specific to certain exterior colours.

Grey is available with all exterior colours, as is the optional black leather upholstery, while Blue, Red, Phantom and Blueprint cloth are available depending on the exterior paint colour.

The leather interior comes in a semi-perforated, Silky Pebble style that's only available in Warm Charcoal.
