OUTSTANDING fuel economy is an important Festiva asset. Official city/highway consumption figures showing 7.6/5.6 litres per 100km for the 1.5-litre GLXi and Trio S manual (8.5/5.8 auto) and 7.0/5.4L/100km (8.0/6.4) for the 1.3 Trio. On the negative side, the ageing Festiva looks poor on the safety front: no standard airbags, no passenger airbag, no rear headrests, no anti-lock brakes and a poor performance in the ANCAP crash tests.
