Ford puts Focus on special edition

FORD is preparing to weather the onslaught of Toyota’s upcoming Corolla facelift with a special edition Focus SR featuring air-conditioning and alloy wheels.

Priced at $19,890, it is based on the base CL model, comes in four-door sedan and five-door hatch guises and – like the current Corolla Ascent but not the Holden Astra City – lacks a front passenger airbag.

The official Focus CL ask is $20,660 but lately Ford has been clearing 2003 stocks for $18,980 including air but without the alloys. The SR is exclusively 2004 stock.
