Ford's Territory is equipped to the hilt

FORD’S forthcoming Territory SUV could well be the car for those who just can’t do without a canoe carrier, 50-litre mobile fridge or at least 31 internal storage compartments.

Ford has released detailed equipment lists for its full-size crossover wagon, and the inventory of no fewer than 67 dealer-fit accessories makes for interesting reading.

The list also confirms Territory, on sale June 1, will be offered in two specification levels, dubbed in the interim by Ford as Entry Series and High Series – each available as either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Ford’s 182kW DOHC inline six-cylinder is the only engine choice (for now), but combined with ex-factory optional third row seating across the board there’s officially eight different Territory variants.

The range will kick-off with a rear-drive five-seater priced in the mid-to-high $30,000 bracket.
