FORD Australia has announced equipment and pricing details for its updated Transit Custom Sport range, due in local showrooms in the final quarter of this year.

Available from $59,990 plus on-road costs in van format, and from $62,990 + ORC for the double-cab chassis, the Transit Custom Sport duo add what Ford Australia says are “eye-catching details”, including 17-inch alloy wheels, a distinctive body kit and racing stripes.

Inside, the Transit Custom Sport pair are characterised by a “premium and sportier appearance” due in part to sports upholstery with blue accent stripes, piano black garnishing, 10-way adjustable and heated driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, and additional upper glove compartment with dual USB-C charging ports.

Other features, in addition to those for the Transit Custom Trend, include LED headlights and DRLs, a unique grille, soft-close sliding side doors, rear spoiler, LED tail-lights, dual driver’s armrests, and a soft-trimmed metal bulkhead with window.

The dual-cab chassis further offers an eight-way adjustable passenger seat, dual passenger seat armrests, centre console with dual cupholders, carpeted flooring, pop-out style rear windows, ISOFIX rear child seat anchors, and rear-door storage.

“The addition of the Transit Custom Sport and Transit Custom Sport Double Cab strengthens our van line-up to one of the strongest in the country,” said Ford Australia product and retail marketing manager Tony Jordan.

“It doesn’t matter if you are a sole trader looking to stand out from the crowd, or a larger business wanting a vehicle that can transport crew and equipment in equal measure, Ford has a breadth of commercial vehicles to suit all needs, with legendary capability to match.”

The Ford Transit Custom Sport and Transit Custom Sport Double Cab are expected to arrive in Australia in Q4, 2024.
