First look: FPV GT turns 40!

FORD Performance Vehicles revealed an upcoming limited-edition 40th Anniversary GT sports sedan in Melbourne this morning, which celebrates 40 years of the Falcon GT legend.

Only 200 will be built, costing $65,110 for either the six-speed manual or six-speed auto. All will be finished in Silhouette black with a striking gold over-body stripe kit, reminiscent of the classic GT stripe kit last seen on a locally produced Ford model with the XC Falcon Cobra Hardtop in 1978.

Special GT-P 19-inch alloys with gloss black accents complete the exterior look, along with "40th Anniversary" decals.

Inside, there is is leather seat trim with the GT logo, 40th Anniversary floor mats and an iPod/MP3 audio player connection.

FPV has also designed a new suspension package called "R-Spec" for the car, which incorporates an "advanced" level of suspension tune.
