GM appoints new CFO

GENERAL Motors (GM) has appointed Paul Jacobson as chief financial officer, effective December 1. He replaces Dhivya Suryadevara, who resigned in August to become finance chief at online payments company Stripe.
Mr Jacobson (48) comes to GM from Delta Air Lines where he was chief financial officer, a position he has held since 2012. In that role he was responsible for helping Delta raise billions of dollars to weather the pandemic.
