IAG names news CEO

AUSTRALIA and New Zealand’s biggest general insurer, Insurance Australia Group Ltd (IAG), has appointed Nick Hawkins as managing director and CEO, effective November 2.
Mr Hawkins succeeds Peter Harmer whose retirement was announced in April this year. Mr Harmer will leave the company on November 1, 2020 after five years as the insurer’s CEO.
IAG chairperson Elizabeth Bryan said Mr Hawkins’ appointment followed a comprehensive internal and external search.
